The Omniscient Sai

The Omniscient Sai
Prof Anil Kumar Kamaraju his Experience

I will tell you personal incident. I came from the hot state of Andhara Pradesh. As Bangalore is very cold, I soon developed sinus problem. I took a water heater and went for my bath.

I was about to take my bath, when there was sudden power cut. The power went off and the water was not ready for my bath. So I causally washed my face and went for darshan.

I sat in the darshan, Slowly, came the gentlle figure, the short with broad smile, holdin his robe with one, and weaving the hand in circles with the other. He stood in front of me looked into the empty space and waved both hands, saying, “There are some who come for darshan without having bath.

I, WAS WONDER STRUCK. I WAS TAKEN BACK, AND SAID,”How so you know?” He replied, “Where am I? I am in your bed room and I AM in your bath room. I am everywhere ” Then I, ran to my room and took a double bath. I returned and sat on the verandah. Baba came suddenly after bhajans. He came straight to me and said, “A normal bath is enough, don’t worry. The omnipotence and omnipresence are qualities of divinity to let us know that the Avatar is not less than the divine personaliy.

Once Bhagavan said to an old man, “Today is the death anniversary of your wife.” Bhagavan even told him more details. He may have met so many people in between. Yet He remebers everything and everyone. Omnipotence,Omnipresence and omniscience. The person may have forgotten but not Bhagavan.

Once there was a couple who came to Him. The couple had been having heated argument back at home. Bhagavan called the wife, and naturally the husband follwed obediently. Both of them were given an interview. Then Swami came out of the interview room and said, “You fight at home, so fight here also, I will give you time. “So, here you can experience directly the omnipresence, omnipotence and omniscience.

Once in KodaiKanal I was with all the seve dal in the garden. They were giving ice creams, so I also received one. Swami came to the mandir and I stretched out my hand. Swami said, “You have taken icecream already outside.” I said, Swami, I did not say I have not eaten.” “Then Swami said why do you stretch your hand here? . “there, the seva dal give you icecream .Then I said , But Swami I want from your divine hands, therefore I am asking. Then He gave me one with His divine Hands. He then asked me “Is it nice? OK, take two.” So this kind of omnipresence will make you happy and it will be benefical to you.

Amazing Cure

Amazing Cure

Prof Kasturi and his story of Gowri a bright student

Amazing cure (An article shared by Ram Chugani)

Prof Kasturi describes this letter: A shrill note piercing through the bathroom shattered the absolute calm.

Vasantha her mother was terrified, and ran from the living room. She knocked loudly the closed door of the bathroom. Gowri had bolted the door from inside and she screamed from a sever back pain which had immobilized her.

Slowly she managed to open the bolt. Vedanta rushed in and helped her move to the bedroom. Gowrie was in agony. She lay in bed. The family physician was called. He came and after examining her pronounced it to be a muscular seizure.

Injections and medicines were given. Gowrie went off to a drowsy sleep, not aware of her pain. "That is what doctor do, so also God's grace, making you not aware of pain.

Swami says, you have to suffer Karmic pain because you have asked for it, but God's grace makes you not aware of it. That is blessings Swami may grant.

"This was on 21st December 1982. From her childhood Gowrie was an active girl. Apart from being a bright student, she participated in various cultural activities. She was an enthusiastic member of the debating society, the drama association, the dance troupe and literary circle.

She had enrolled as a student of bharatanatyam, a south Indian style of dance under a well-known guru of Tanjore tradition, at young age of seven years. For ten long years she practiced bharatanatyam and she was qualified for the first stage Performa dance before the public in 1979.Later she danced in prestigious halls like Shanmukhananda Hall.

As well as many famous Halls in Bombay. She was a member of a group of Bharatnatyam dancers who gave performance in ASAID auditorium. She was a celebrated dancer.

She was practicing hard to perform a dance ballad scheduled for 23rd December 1982 when the tragedy struck her. Leading physicians, surgeons and experts examined her. Close X-rays and repeated medical tests showed no clinical evidence of any injury or illness. By mid January 1983she suffered severe cramps at the lower back which left her in agony and exhaustion.

A leading orthopedist examined her and suspected a serious problem in her nervous system and started treatment It gave Gauri some relief, but she continued to suffer from pain in the lower back. She was absolutely unable to sit. She had a stoop and could not straighten herself. She had to be helped to lie on bed. She violently shivered.

Months passed in agony for gowri and all of us. As astrologers and tantrics were consulted. Some of them said, she might have become a victim of evil eye! Poojas were performed. The orthopedist continued his treatment. By May 1983 Gowrie improved. She could sit for a while and stand up promptly. She maintained steady progress after October 1983. But progress seemed to be elusive.

She started suffering bouts of several times a day, and late evenings were spent in restlessness. By November her conditions deteriorated. She complained of sever pain in her neck and shoulder. Days and weeks were spent in sheer agony.

It was already December 1983 and a year of agony was nearing completion. At this time, a schoolmate of Gowrie casually dropped to enquire about Gowrie health. She was shocked and distressed to see her condition. She decided to something about it. She went back home and told her mother about Gowrie's illness.

Gowrie's friend and her mother were staunch devotees of Sri Sathya sai Baba. They spent lot of time in the service of the poor, and the old and the sick. They decided they would pray to Baba to help Gowrie into Gowrie's house. Gowrie and her mother were happy to receive them.

They were sad to see Gowrie's condition. They talked sweetly to her, consoled her and advised to pray to God and quietly took a packet of vibhuti and gave it to Gowri, and asked her to apply to that part where it pained her, and told her to mix it in the water and drink when the pain became unbearable. They said it was the vibhuthi from Sathya Sai Baba.
We felt there was no harm in using it. After all we had tried all methods of cure and now why not this? But, Gowrie's friend and her mother added, you should have full faith in Baba. How could it be? We had just heard about Him! They repeated their assurance that the vibhuthi was a powerful cure. They had a video cassette with them to be screened somewhere. We asked whether we could view it. They handed over the cassette and once again reminded us to pray to Baba and take the vibhuthi." 'Shrotavya' is to hear about God. "Drushtavya" is to see God. Seeing video was Drushtavya,' seeing Swami's form.

We had all kinds of doubts. 'How can we have faith in him? Who is Sathya Sai Baba? How does He look like? What about his vibhuthi. All kinds of doubts. The entire family crowded around and viewed the cassette. We were spell bound at what we saw. We were charmed at the red robed apparition.

Baba looks so beautiful! The crowd seems to adore Him! He looks so compassionate and kind! All of sudden He waved His right hand and created vibhuthi! He gave it to all devotees who were sitting. Baba making vibhuthi flow from an inverted vessel on to an idol of Shard Baba was unbelievable!

His message of Sathya, Dharma, shanty and preamp, and there is only one religion, the religion of love, there is only one God, He is omnipresent stimulated unification of humanity! We were thrilled to hear it. We were moved at the splendor of Baba!

We regretted ourselves we did not see Him earlier! But never mind, it is never too late. We saw Him again and again. The more we saw the more we loved Him. It was an experience, when the two devotees came next day, they had brought a couple of books on the life and teachings of Baba. That is "Mantravya" knowing about Him.

We used vibhuthi as directed. True, the pain seemed to reduce and disappear when vibhuthi was mixed in the water and taken. It made her a little bright and cheerful. What was happening? A dream or imagination? A sort of make believe?

We wanted to see further development. Subsequently vibhuthi was smeared at the spot where it pained most, and gave her generously water mixed with vibhuthi to drink, which stopped her pain, particularly in the left arm which had gone numb! We were delighted, but kept our peace for fear of some evil eye robbing her of this newfound remedy!

When the stock of vibhuthi declined we felt concerned. But many devotees who vested us filled up the container. In fact they themselves were surprised, and they could hardly conceive the happening and the wonder that vibhuthi had done.

They all decided to take Gowrie for Baba,s darshans. On the 13tth February 1984 , they all had Swami's darshans. Kasturi report that there was a messenger from Baba calling them for interview.

Lady members awaiting the interview stood near the sidewall. Soon Baba came out, He waived us. It was simple direct gesture, we were right in His presence. All of sudden He turned to Gowrie who was sitting on chair as she could not bend to sit on the floor.

"What had the doctors to say? He asked. She replied the doctors found nothing wrong and father gave additional report that she was Bharatantyam dancer.

"I cure her right now, she should be quite normal" Baba said. We were astounded, speechless, Baba was telling "Right now!" It was turning moment Baba got up and went near her. Gowrie was already on her feet, and though she could not bend, she went down on her knee and did namskar.

What better proof we wanted other than what we were witnessing! It was happening after fourteen months. Medical experts had cautioned her not to attempt at such thing. But here she was right at his feet doing namaskar. She tried hard fighting back tears flooding out of her.

Other members could hardly conceal their joy and emotion. We followed Gowrie and we were right at Baba's feet, His grace, His love and compassion pouring on all of us in abundance. Perhaps He accepted our devotion when He permitted us to hold His feet for such a long time.

Baba broke the silence, and assured that Gowrie would be all right, and when she visited next time, she would be a great dancer! He distributed vibhuthi to all of us in generous measure. It sighted the end of the interview..

It was time for morning Bhajans and we joined devotees in singing. After we came out to find the whole world new. He has given you a new eye, a new vision. Gowrie discarded the chair and pillows kept for her. In the Bhajan hall she sat on the floor. Some members who had seen her agony broke into spectators joy at her transformation.

The news had spread all around, and loving volunteers too were filled with joy.

"The miracle is one poster to announce that the AVATHAR has come."

How is believing in miracles helpful in one's spiritual growth?

How is believing in miracles helpful in one's spiritual growth?

A. by Anjali Gadiraju

I have not written anything before but I hope everybody accepts my answer. When any child cries and asks for something for example, food or toys, mother of the child runs to get what her child needs, and to get that sometimes she has to bear some pain. However, this makes the child to love mother without question, have trust and patience that mother is there and going to solve his problem. It is the same way Saibaba worries for all his devotees and fulfills all wishes to give maximum happiness and show us the right path. And he teaches the same to us that we should have Shradha and Saburi for the guru as the child has for his mother. Sai baba is mother to all his devotees. He shows us right path by making us fall on our wrong path, the same way any mother will scold her child for doing anything wrong. And the miracles, which we feel as miracles, they are actually mother taking care of his child. However, as we are human we call them miracles, so guru by showing those miracles increases our faith and unquestionable love in guru as we have on our mother. I find miracles everyday in every small incident; I just say Sai's name and things are there for me. For example asking the train to reach on time to my work place, getting a desired seat in library to sit and study, praying my food should taste good, my husband should not scold me for some wrong I did. Baba is there with us always and will always be there until we have trust and patience.

The Maha Yagna at Whitefield

The Maha Yagna at Whitefield

Sri Mookambika Devi Satha Chandi Maha Yagna

16.05.2005:
--------------
Today there was Dhanvantari Homam. The Homam took place on the stage on the ladies' side. Bhagawan came at 7:15AM. HE stayed till 8:45AM and left. HE came again at 09:30AM and stayed till Poornahuti.

17.05.'05:
--------------
There were three homams this morning - Rudra Homam, Chandi Homam and Mrutyunjaya Homam. Swamy came at 07:25AM and stayed till 09:30AM watching the proceedings. In the evening there was Sudarsana Homam. It started at 05:00 PM. Swamy was there till 06:00PM and then left for Trayee. poornahuti took place at 09:00PM.

18.05.'05
--------------
Today was the last day of the three day programme of various Homams. Yesterday, in the evening, when Swamy went back into Trayee, the Maha Sata Chandi Homam was announced as the grand finale. No one had any idea of the grandeur till it commenced this morning. Swami came at 7:15AM and immediately the Pundits commenced the Homam after receiving a green signal from HIM. The Homa Kundam was majestic. Shaped like a heart, it was six feet deep and a foot above the ground. It was dug in the Ramesh hall, about 10 feet away from the stage in the front. Three steps of the Homa Kundam were adorned with beautiful rangoli and flower petals, mainly marigold. Owing to the size the Homa Kundam, the fire had to be lit last night itself, and it was done in the most auspicious manner, i.e. by rubbing pieces of wood and the initial sparks litting up a cocnut fibre. This is multiplied and slowly small wood pieces are introduced. By morning, the sacrificial fire was big enough to consume logs!

Once the Homam started two large logs were put into the Homa kundam and soon large flames leapt up. The Homam started with incantations to propitiate the nava grahas , followed by Indra, Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu and their respective families. The offerings into the sacrificial fire were of great variety. Seven to eight containers, each of 35 litres, of sweet pongal was offered to the Devi. Other offerings were, coconuts, mangoes, flowers, bananas and even water melons! Every member seated there participated in one part of the Homam. Sai Gayathri was being chanted followed by 'Swaaha' and then ghee was offered into the sacrificial fire.

While this went on, Swamy went back to Trayee at 8:45AM and came back at 09:25AM. Swamy looked like the all-pervading Sri Mahavishnu HIMSELF! HIS black hair was dancing to the breeze and from a distance it looked like Adisesha was providing shade to HIM!! HE observed the proceedings with rapt attention.

The CM of Karnataka, Sri. Dharam Singh visited Brindavan at about 9:45AM. Swamy blessed a green colored saree along with freshly picked green paddy plant and fruits. These were offered to the Devi through the fire. Again, fistfuls of Sweet pongal were offered again by the eleven priests of the Kolluru Mookambika Devasthanam sitting around the Homa kundam. At about 10:15AM, a red saree wetted with ghee, along with money, fruits and flowers were blessed by Swamy and offered in to the sacrificial fire. Poornahuti commenced after this at 10:25AM with chants of Durga suktam, Sri suktam, Chamakam and Sai Gayathri.

After the Homam, Swamy directed Sri. C. Srinivas to give thre presents, dhoti and angavastram to the priests. The six main priests thus honoured looked very happy and satisfied. The Homam ended on a high note, spreading great spiritual vibrations in the Ramesh hall, and perhaps even farther.

Mrs. Praveen Sultana was surprised at the sudden order by Swamy to sing! She rendered a couple of Bhajans, Bhavai Dayani and SaiRam SaiRam. Her husband was also called and asked to sing. The fortunate couple presented a treat of Hindustani music. Swamy meanwhile got up and walked slowly towards the elevator on the gents side and came down. The mobile throne was brought out of the car (!) and Swamy sat on that. The throne was placed in the Toyota Porte and Swamy left for Trayee through the ladies' side at 11:15AM filling us with absolute bliss.

Sairam

In Brindavan around 60 priests from Karnataka are performing Homam from last three days.

On Monday Dhanvantari Homam and Sudarshan Homam were performed. The Yagna Kundas were kept one at the Ladies side of the dias and the other at the gents side Dias. To the devotees surprise Swami came to darshan by 7:15 an unexpected time when compared to the previous days where he was coming around 9:30.

Our Beloved Lord came for darshan in his Wheel chair. He came from the main gate of trayee Brindavan and entered Ladies side and went to the dias and sat before the Dhanvantari Homam for about 40 min and then went to Sudershana Homam Kundam on the Gents side and sat there for about 30 min and let the Hall. He himself came later and performed Poornaahuthi. It was really astonishing to the devotees to see Swami performing the rituals with his one hand and priests helping Him out, to perform the rituals. In the afternoon also he came early and sat for the afternoon section of the Yagna. Swami had blessed all the priests with Pattu dhothis personally.

On Tuesday also Vedic chanting was started at 5:30 a.m by the boys. Lalitha Sahasranama was started by the Ladies at 6:30 in the Sai Ramesh Hall. Today we had the great chandi Maha Yagnam to be started. The Kundam was digged before the Ganesha in the Sai Ramesh Hall which was measuring 9*5 feet. The priest started with the Maha Ganapathy Homam and our beloved Lord came early as yesteday by 7:00a.m. He sat for the Homam some times chanting with the priests and looking above and as a small kid not able to move around sat before the Yagna as Yagna Purusha and went back at around 8:30a.m.

Today being the PoornaAhuthi for the chandi Yagnam. Swami came as usual as last days at 7:00a.m from the Ladies side taling to the devotees and went up. Later he called sathyagit and saked him to make him stand. Swami stood up and started walking with the help of Sathyagit on the right side holding the factured hand and Jain holding the left hand. Swami went off at 8:30 a.m and came back again at 10:00am to do the Poorna Ahuthi. Swami walked down and greeted the CM of Karnataka Dharam Singh with his left hand and blessed all the people. Today yagna was attended by the Govenor, Ministers and many dignitaries of Karantaka. It seems to be a festival in Brindavan. Devotees were stunned to see Swami sitting for Yagnas so much of time where the local news papers published that they would be no darshan for a week because of the facture. Swami proved his uncertainity and came for the darshan both the times from the day the news was published.

But seeing him in this stage makes every one feel very sorrow. But , What can we do other that to pray Him to get well soon.

With Love
Sunil

The significance of Shri Sai Satcharitra is:
05.20.05 (11:47 am)   [edit]

The significance of Shri Sai Satcharitra is:

  1. This is the first and foremost book based on the life-story of Shri Sai Baba, which was originally composed in Marathi verse form. The writing of the book started in the lifetime of Baba with His blessings.

  2. This has been translated into many Indian languages and English language, which can be understood even by a common man.

  3. The Divine Truth imparted by this book is even greater than the knowledge contained in the Vedas and Gita, because all the characters and events in it are real and authentic and have been recorded in detail by many devotees.

  4. The spiritual essence contained in all the religious scriptures like Vedas, Gita and Yoga Vashisht is found in the life-story of Shri Sainath.

  5. The concepts of God and spirituality are explained in such a simple yet comprehensive manner in Shri Sai Satcharitra, that no additional book or commentary is required to understand it. It has a natural flow whereby the readers start feeling as if they had been closely associated with its events in their past lives.

  6. The glory of Shri Sai is spreading in the world, far and wide, in such a way that detailed information about Shri Sai Baba is available through many web sites on Internet and through Shri Sai Satcharitra.

  7. The foremost duty of Sai devotees is therefore to read Shri Sai Satcharitra and absorb it into their beings completely. The more they read this book, the more it will bring them closer to Baba and all their doubts and apprehensions will be cleared. It also has been experienced that during a crisis, if any devotee searching for an answer, if he randomly opens Shri Sai Satcharitra, praying to Baba sincerely and with faith, his answer can be found in that open page. Many people have got their desired benefits after reading Shri Sai Satcharitra for a week in paraayana form.

The Need for Sanathana Vidya
05.20.05 (11:29 am)   [edit]
The Need for Sanathana Vidya

Have not men trained themselves in countless arts and skills and sciences? Have they not devised countless machines? Have they not accumulated vast tons of knowledge? Nevertheless, man has not attained peace of mind, which is so essential for happiness. Instead, with every passing day, this vidya is dragging man into deeper and deeper waters and peace is receding more and more into the distance.

The reason can be stated thus. These arts and sciences have only transitory value; these machines cater for worldly comfort; this knowledge is all about temporary, transitory things. This vidya does not reveal to one the Innermost Secret of the Universe. There is one secret which if known lays bare all secrets; if that problem is solved, all are solved, there is one knot which if untied, all knots are loosened. There is one science, which if mastered, all are mastered. That key science is Santhana Vidya.

If a tree has to be destroyed, its taproot has to be cut; there is no use trying to kill it by plucking its leaves one by one. It takes too long a time, besides, it may not work. The ancient Vedic seers knew this Vidya, but, Indians are feeling ashamed to claim them as their kith and kin. They saw God through their ascetic endeavours and won His Grace. They expounded the Science which they had so boldly discovered. Seekers from other countries perused these books and said that India had blazed a trail for the whole world. This is a well-known fact. The lamp illumines the house but just at the very foot of the lamp, there lurks a dark circle. India does not know or care for that treasure. Can we ascribe this to the play of Fate and keep quiet?

In the past ages Indians performed their daily rites, sat in a purified place, surrounded by sacredness and immersed themselves in the study and the practice of the teachings of the Vedas and the Upanishads. Besides, they recorded their experiences in order to guide others and in order to bring those experiences back again into their own consciousness. But, their children and grandchildren placed those books on the altar and duly worshipped them. Neglect has reduced them to dust or lumber; the palm leaves have disintegrated and rats have eaten into them. But, eager students from the West have sought out this lumbers and realising that it enshrines incomparable sources of illumination and priceless pearls of Wisdom, they lift it reverentially above their heads and acclaim it as the precious gift of Bharathakhanda to themselves and their children. They carry it across the seas, with joy in their eyes and thankfulness in their hearts.

Ashram Programme

Spirituality in Ashram is a way of life. The Ashram wakes up to a new life everyday at Brahmamuhurtham (early hours of the morning) which is most auspicious for spiritual sadhana. The aspirants chant the Pranava, the primordial sound, which creates powerful vibrations. This is followed by Suprabatham (verses in praise of the Lord) which seeks to awaken the divinity within. The Nagarsankirtan (going round singing Bhajans) performed by men as well as women purifies the atmosphere with divine vibrations.

The most coveted hour in the daily routine of Prasanthi Nilayam is Darshan. In the hour of Darshan, Bhagawan goes around the devotees who are seated in the Sai Kulwant Hall, accepting their letters, listening to their prayers, clarifying their doubts, solving their problems, healing their diseases (physical and mental) and uplifting them. Regarding Darshan, Bhagawan Himself said, " My Darshan is My Gift to Mankind". Bhagawan chooses some people for interview and the moments spent with Bhagawan in the interview room are the most precious moments in the life of spiritual aspirants. In these interviews, many a sadhaka is baptized and is brought to his pristine purity, for he is washed in the divine waters of love that flow from the fountain of Prema that Bhagawan is. The most mysterious, mystifying and elevating things happen in the interview room. Bhagawan fulfils the innermost wishes of devotees, material and spiritual. The interview is, in fact, an " inner view". for many spiritual aspirants.

The interviews are followed by Bhajans in the Mandir. Bhajans in Prasanthi Nilayam are unique since they are of universal scope and appeal. The Bhajans extol deities of different religions and uphold the unity of faiths. The Hindus and Muslims, The Jews and the Christians, The Buddhist and the Jains, The Parsis and The Sikhs find themselves equally at home while singing the Bhajans in Prasanthi Nilayam. It is a unique experience to sit in the Bhajan Hall and have the vision of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba seated on a throne absorbing the prayers of His devotees.

Bhagawan blesses His devotees again in the evening with Darshan followed by Bhajans. Bhagawan is busy throughout the day and is ever in action so that mankind may emulate His example.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba - June 25th 1963 Discourse

Sri Sathya Sai Baba - June 25th 1963 Discourse

OM SAI RAM

On June 25th'1963 in Venkatagiri, Bhagawan while going up some stairs in the Palace of the Raja of Venkatagiri slipped , His right leg was Fractured, Bhagawan was carried up in a chair and lifted to his Room upstairs. Came Evening and at 5'O'Clock, there was no sign of Bhagawan giving Darshan, after around 10 minutes, the wonderful sound of the siren was played which always preceeded the arrival of Bhagawan for Darshan, Bhagawan was walking as if Nothing had happened, Everybody was too stunned to speak anything, Bhagawan gave one of his sheepish smiles and gave a wonderful 10 minute discourse, He said :

PRIYATMULARA (DEAR ONES OF THE HEART),

NOTHING HAPPENS TO SWAMI, NOTHING CAN TOUCH YOUR SWAMI, SWAMI IS ALL RIGHT ALL THE TIME, IT IS ONLY YOUR BRAMA (ILLUSION) THAT I WAS HURT AND NOT WELL.

FOR SWAMI THIS PHYSICAL BODY IS ONLY A MEANS TO TEACH YOU GOOD THINGS. YOU HAVE PRAYED WHOLE HEARTEDLY THAT I SHOULD COME AND GIVE YOU DARSHAN, SEE HERE IAM, YOUR PRAYERS HAVE MADE ME TO COME, THERE WAS NEVER AN INJURY TO SWAMI, SWAMI NEVER GET INJURED, AS ALL ARE MY CREATIONS CAN MY OWN CREATIONS HARM ME ?,

SWAMI ACTS IN MANY WAYS TO TEACH YOU LESSONS OF LOVE. SWAMI NEVER FEELS PAIN, WHY SHOULD SWAMI FEEL PAIN?, IAM THE CAUSE FOR EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD,EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN THIS WORLD IS BECAUSE OF ME. GOD BEHAVES HUMANLY TO HELP PEOPLE AROUND HIM TO LEARN LESSONS AND EVEN PEOPLE WHO ARE EVIL AND WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD BECOME HIS ARDENT DEVOTEES.

IN THE RAMAYANA , MARICHA WAS A CLOSE FRIEND OF RAVANA, HE WAS THE MOST EVIL MAN AFTER RAVANA, BUT ULTIMATELY HE ADVISED RAVANA NOT TO EVEN TOUCH OR LOOK AT SITA, ALL OF YOU WILL NOT KNOW THAT IT WAS MARICHA WHO TOLD THE GREAT WORDS "RAMO VIGRAHA VAN DHARMAHA", HE TOLD RAVANA WHO HAD COME TO HIM FOR ASSISTANCE TO KIDNAP SITA THAT " RAMA IS DIVINE, GOD HIMSELF", HE TOLD RAVANA THAT WHEN HE HAD GONE TO DISRUPT THE YAGNA OF THE RISHIS IN THE FOREST, RAMA SHOT AN ARROW AT HIM AND IT HAD CHASED HIM WHEREVER IT WENT.IT WOULD NOT LEAVE HIM, IT CHASED HIM EVERWHERE, IT WAS ONLY WHEN HE JUMPED INTO THE SEA THAT RAMA CALLED BACK HIS ARROW DUE TO REVERENCE TO THE GOD OF THE SEAS, HOW DID THE EVIL INCARNATE MARICHA BECOME LORD RAMA'S GREAT DEVOTEES AND ENDED HIS LIFE AT RAMA'S DIVINE HANDS, IT WAS BECAUSE HE UNDERSTOOD THE LOVE OF THE LORD, THE DIVINITY OF THE LORD.

IN THE MAHABARATA ALSO, DURING BHEESHMA PARVA AFTER THE BATTLE HAD ENDED FOR THE DAY, DURYODHANA APPROACHED BHEESHMACHARYA AND ASKED HIM "OH, GREAT GRANDFATHER, IN SPITE OF YOUR GREAT POWER AND YOUR SKILLS IN THE BATTLEFIELD, NOT EVEN A SINGLE MAJOR WARRIOR IN THE WHOLE PANDAVA ARMY HAS DIED, BUT MANY OF OUR GREAT WARRIORS HAVE DIED A SORRY DEATH, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO US, INSPITE OF US HAVING GREAT WARRIORS LIKE YOURSELF, DRONACHARYA, KARNA AND SHALYA, WHY ARE WE FAILING IN THE WAR", TO WHICH BHEESHMACHARYA REPLIED "MY DEAR SON, IT WILL NOT TAKE ME A MINUTE TO LINE UP ALL THE FIVE PANDAVAS AND ALL THEIR OTHER GREAT WARRIORS AND KILL THEM, FOR THAT TO HAPPEN YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE AWAY ONE PERSON FROM THE BATTLEFIELD, AS LONG AS HE IS IN THE WAR ZONE, I CANNOT TOUCH THEM, ALL MY WEAPONS, MY KNOWLEDGE ARE NOTHING BEFORE HIM, HE IS KRISHNA, TAKE HIM AWAY AND YOU WILL WIN THE WAR ", DURYODHANA HUNG HIS HEAD AND RECOLLECTED HOW HE WAS THE HAPPIEST MAN WHEN ARJUNA HAD CHOSEN ONLY KRISHNA AND NOTHING ELSE AND HE WAS VERY HAPPY THAT HE HAD TAKEN A HUGE PORTION OF THE ARMY OF KRISHNA. THIS IS THE GREATNESS OF THE LORD, ALL HIS ACTIONS HAVE MEANING, NOT ONE OF HIS ACTIONS ARE MEANT TO WASTED.

HOW TRUE ARE THESE WORDS OF BHAGAWAN, HOW RELEVANT ARE THEY TODAY FOR ALL OF US.

OM SAI RAM

Baba Saved His Child

Baba Saved His Child

In Mahim, Mumbai there was a large poor family of six. The head of the
family was a clerk. Once he committed a serious blunder in the
accounts, and feared dismissal. One of his friends, a devotee of Sai Baba,
heard of his anxiety and gave him udhi and asked him to use it twice
everyday and assured him that his difficulties would cease in a month or two.
Shortly after, his mistake in accounts was discovered. He could not
face the situation. So he went on leave for a month and came home. He was
frightened by the prospect of dismissal and decided to commit suicide
to end his sufferings. One day he kissed his child, wore an old shirt
and went out. His wife knew of his distracted state of mind and knew that
it was of no use preventing him from going out. So she called him back,
gave him Sai Baba’s udhi and let him go. Then she sat before Baba’s
picture and went on praying fervently to him to save her husband’s life.

Her husband who had left the house in the morning did not turn up even
in the evening. He went to Borivelle in Mumbai and jumped into a
secluded tank. A fisherman rescued him and threatened him to hand him over to
police if he did not return home. He gave a little money and left him
at his house at 11 p.m. The next minute the fisherman disappeared! Baba
is the fisher of men’s souls too!

Manikshah never ate anything without first offering it to Baba. Yet he
could not visit Shirdi for a long time. Once on his way to Nagpur he
was sleeping in his reserved compartment. At about 1.30 p.m. he woke up
at Manmad. A vague human form appeared and said, "Do not proceed
further!" and vanished. He looked out but found none. He got down from the
train. He had his next train for Nagpur only late in the evening. The
pilgrims proceeding to Shirdi suggested that he could join them and he did.
By evening he returned to Manmad and was shocked to learn that the
earlier train, by which he came, later met with a major accident and that
many were killed or wounded.

Baba had mercifully saved him from the danger and fulfilled his wish to
visit Shirdi.

Purana Events are Real

Purana Events are Real

Baba’s attitude to tradition can best be seen in his answers to the
questions put on to him by Madhavrao alias Shama. Once Madhavrao asked
Baba whether it was true that there were fifty crores of yadawas in
Dwaraka as mentioned in the puranas. "Baba, Prof. Narke says that the account
given by the puranas is false." But Baba replied "No, It is all true.
Even Rama and Krishna did really exist."

On another occasion Shama asked Baba, "Baba, is it true that one crore
of vanara army assembled at the time of Rama’s war against the demon
king Ravana? How could so many assemble in one place?"

Baba replied that it was true that so many of them had assembled and
that he personally saw them gathering one above the other, as ants do.

Shama said, "How could you witness what happened to long ago? If you
were there then how were you?"

Baba: Innumerable births went by for you and for me. You don’t know but
I do. I was as I am now."

On yet another occasion Shama asked: "Are Vishnu and Brahma lokas real?
If they are, you must show me those. For, they say that when compared
with those worlds, this one of ours is trivial."

Baba: "Don’t worry about them; for when compared with God they are
still more trivial. For those worlds are also of the same nature as our
world (i.e., transient).

Shama: But you must enable me to realize the truth of what you say!

Then Baba asked him to close his eyes. Immediately on closing his eyes
Shama could see those subtle other worlds. As he went on seeing them
Baba proceeded to point out Brahma in the Brahmaloka and told him that it
was Satyaloka. Next Baba showed him Vishnuloka and pointed out Vishnu
seated therein, and Kailasa with Siva in it. Finally, Baba ended the
vision and told Shama, "These realms of existence are not to be desired by
us. What we want is different and still higher."
